Guest Information

Check In Timings
Unless agreed in advance and confirmed in writing, guests can check in to their rental accommodation after 2.30pm on the day of arrival. Our policy is to ‘meet & greet’ every guest on arrival. Guests will therefore be asked to confirm their expected arrival time/check in time prior to them travelling. In case of any delays including en-route, guests are kindly requested to inform us accordingly.

Check Out Timings
Unless agreed in advance and confirmed in writing, guests are requested to vacate (check out) their rental accommodation by 10.00am on the date of departure. Portpatrick Holiday Homes has the right to apply an additional charge for delay in guests vacating their holiday homes after 10.00 am on the date of departure. The minimum charge will be the equivalent of one day’s rental based on standard tariff rates or actual ‘loss of sales’ if the future guests have to be re-accommodated as a direct result of the delayed departure/check-out.

Property Inspections
Portpatrick Holiday Homes reserve the right to inspect rental accommodation during guest stays and/or prior to departure (check-out) . 

Staying/Paying Guests
Guests will be requested to confirm the number of guests staying in their rental accommodation that can not exceed the maximum occupancy agreed at the time of booking and permitted per holiday home. Portpatrick Holiday Homes reserves the right to charge guests for any additional staying guests or in extreme cases terminate the rental agreement with immediate effect.  

Cleaning
Portpatrick Holiday Homes request guests to leave their rental accommodation in a ‘reasonably’ clean manner. We reserve the right to charge guests for any additional cleaning required that would be considered beyond reasonable.  

Smoking
Portpatrick Holiday Homes has a strict no smoking policy. Guests and/or their visitors are requested not to smoke within their rental accommodation. We reserve the right to charge staying guests for any additional cleaning required or damage caused as a direct result of smoking in their rental accommodation. In such cases a minimum cleaning charge of £100 will apply per property.

Damage to Property
Guests will be charged on departure for any damaged caused to their rental accommodation or its content that is considered malicious as a result of their actions. Guests are kindly requested to report any damages to Guests Services.

Personal belongings and vehicles
Portpatrick Holiday Homes do not accept any responsibility for personal belongings or vehicles of guests using their properties . Portpatrick Holiday Homes will not accept any third party liability.

Appliance, power or utilities failure or malfunction
Portpatrick Holiday Home properties are inspected prior to the arrival of guests to ensure that all appliances are in full working order. In the event of any malfunction of general household appliances, Portpatrick Holiday Homes will endeavour to organise repair or replacement as soon as practical. Portpatrick Holiday Homes do not accept any liability for loss of foodstuffs or other items that may be damaged as a direct result of appliance, power or utilities failure.

Good Housekeeping Deposit
A Good Housekeeping deposit of £150 is required at the time of check in. The amount is refundable on inspection of the properties at the time of guest’s departure or within 14 days thereafter.

Property Keys
Guests will be assigned a set of property keys (front and rear door) when checking in. If guests lose or misplace their property keys, a fixed charge of £75 will apply for replacement of the lock ensuring security for future guests. 

Tariff Rates 
 Published Tariff Rates are inclusive of VAT at the current rate of 20%. All rates are correct at the time of printing and may be subject to change. All promotional offers are subject to room availability or specific occupancy levels required. 

 Animals 
 Well behaved pets are permitted with prior approval.
